Our approach
Full Days is developed and published by Sage Root LLC. It is designed to help you record and preserve personal stories while keeping you in control of your information. This policy explains on-device processing, optional private iCloud backup, and sharing you choose.
Recordings and iCloud
Your voice recordings and app library are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud protection, eligible app data is backed up or synchronized through your private Apple iCloud account. Full Days does not operate a central server that stores your recording library, and we cannot access or restore your private iCloud content.
Private transcription and translation
In Build 10 and later, Full Days creates transcripts and English translations on your iPhone when you request them. Your recording and transcript text are not sent to Full Days, OpenAI, or another online translation provider. There is no cloud translation fallback.
On-device translation requires iOS 18 or later and a supported language pair. Apple may ask you to download the necessary language resources first. Downloads require an internet connection; once installed, translation works offline. Supported languages vary by device and operating system. The original recording and transcript are preserved, and you can cancel translation without deleting them.
A saved translation stays with its memory on your device and in your private iCloud backup if enabled. If you choose to share a memory, the saved translation is included as text. The recipient does not need translation language downloads to read it.
Earlier TestFlight builds offered optional connected translation. Transcript text submitted through those earlier builds may have been retained in OpenAI's abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. Updating stops new connected translation requests but does not retroactively delete earlier provider logs.
Automated text can contain errors, especially with names and dialects. Review important details against the original audio before sharing or relying on them.
Device permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition: used to record and transcribe memories when you choose.
- Contacts: used on-device to help you select important people or phone numbers. Full Days does not upload your address book.
- Notifications: used to deliver reminders and check-in prompts you configure.
- Face ID or device authentication: used locally when you enable app lock.
No advertising or tracking
Full Days does not sell your recordings, transcripts, contacts, or personal information. The app has no advertising, tracking, behavioral analytics, or developer account system. Build 10 and later do not send installation identifiers or translation usage counts to a translation server.
Support email and this website
If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot and retain correspondence as reasonably needed for support and business records. Only send a private recording if you intentionally want support to receive that copy.
This website does not use advertising cookies or behavioral analytics. Our website hosting provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address, to deliver and secure these pages. Visiting a public information page does not grant access to your app's memories.
Your choices
You can edit, export, or delete recordings in the app. You can change device permissions in iOS Settings and disable iCloud protection in Full Days settings. Deleting the app may remove information stored only on that device; we recommend exporting irreplaceable recordings as an additional backup.
Children and safety
Full Days is not directed to children under 13. Reminders and check-ins are convenience features, not emergency monitoring, fall detection, medical advice, or a substitute for contacting emergency services.
